I don't take my "front-of-the-line" privilege lightly or for granted. I would like to lead by example and strongly encourage everyone to take the opportunity to get the vaccine when it becomes available to them. I chose to get vaccinated for myself, my family, and for my community. I am also grateful that it allows me to create an even safer space for my patients to come and heal.

I just had the most wonderful day! I had the privilege of working with a prenatal patient who has been able to sleep and function better because of therapy, a patient with pelvic floor spasms that were ruling her life who has had virtually no pain over the last two weeks, and a woman who never was allowed to know her anatomy that has now embraced her vagina. Win, win, win! Some days you feel on top of the world! I love me job!

Happy New Year's Eve! I ended the year on a high note donating my 8th pint of blood bringing me up to a total of 1 gallon donated! I consider myself lucky to be able to donate and have done it as often as I can since my pregnancy and nursing days ended. The need is always there, but the Red Cross has reported severe shortages since COVID made them cancel so many blood drives in the beginning of the pandemic. If you can donate, do it! It feels so good to know you are helping so many people.

I have a passion for preventative medicine!

Knowledge is power! As a physical therapist, I focus on patient education as a primary foundation for any physical activity I prescribe. Constipation is often not well understood by patients. After just one visit with me you will leave with an incredible amount of knowledge about how the gut works and immediate behavioral modifications you can make to maintain healthier bowels. Once you feel in control of the gut, your gut will no longer control you.
